Tram Nguyen Nominated For EMILY’S List Rising Star Award
State Rep. Tram Nguyen is one of six nominees for the EMILY'S List Gabrielle Giffords Rising Star Award.

Rep. Tram T. Nguyen (D-Andover) is proud to announce that she has been nominated as a finalist for the EMILY’s List Gabrielle Giffords Rising Star Award. Named in honor of the courageous Arizona Congresswoman and gun safety advocate, the Rising Star Award celebrates extraordinary women serving in state or local office who demonstrate commitment to community, dedication to women and families, determination, and civility. Previous Rising Star Award recipients include former Georgia House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams and Congesswoman Ayanna Pressley. Nominated with Rep. Nguyen are Georgia State Representative Park Cannon, New York Assemblywoman Catalina Cruz, Texas County Judge Lina Hidalgo, Washington State Legislator Debra Lekanoff, and Pennsylvania State Representative Jennifer O’Mara.
“It’s an incredible honor to be included as a finalist with these accomplished women,” said Rep. Nguyen. “As the first Vietnamese American woman elected into office in Massachusetts, I appreciate the barriers that my fellow nominees have broken. Like Congresswoman Giffords, I am committed to fighting for working families, for women and children, and for survivors of domestic violence and violent crimes. I’m grateful to EMILY’s List for helping me further that goal.”
