Water Main Work Slows Traffic On Route 28 In Andover
Route 28 is down to one lane as crews work on an emergency water main repair.
ANDOVER, MA -- Crews were working to repair a water main leak on Route 28 in Andover Friday afternoon. Traffic on the road is limited to one lane in each direction near the Shawsheen Plaza. Andover Police said the lane restrictions are expected to be in place until late Friday evening.
The work is on "leak from a private service line that is being repaired," said Rachel Ciaramitaro of the Andover DPW. "The Town is there for support and to help shut down the main if needed."
