Weather Alert! Winter Storm Warning in Effect Until 4 p.m. Saturday

ANDOVER, MA - The National Weather Service says a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 p.m. on Saturday.

• Locations: Northern Middlesex and Essex Counties.
• Hazard types: Snow, moderate to heavy at times along with a little more sleet.
• Accumulations: Total snow and sleet accumulation of 8 to 12 inches, along with around a trace of ice.
• Timing: Precipitation will change back to all snow where it has not already, and will fall moderate to heavy at times before gradually tapering off this afternoon.
• IMPACTS: Snow and ice accumulations will make many roads treacherous and impassable. The weight of the snow and ice on tree limbs and power lines will likely produce isolated outages.
