Andover's Most-Read Story Of 2020: High School Principal's Tweet
The coronavirus, labor conflicts at the schools and other topics were major stories. But Andover Patch's most-read story came in Feb.
ANDOVER, MA — On Feb. 12, 2020, Massachusetts had only reported one confirmed coronavirus case. Life was going about as usual across the state, save for heightened hand-washing procedures.
That day, then-Andover High School principal Philip Conrad deleted a tweet describing the school's Thursday lunch menu, which was tied to Black History Month.
The tweet, which was condemned on social media, said the school was "celebrating #BlackHistory2020 with a lunch of chicken drumsticks, macaroni & cheese, cornbread and greens."
