Here are five things to start your day in Beverly:

1. Do you like Pumpkin Ale? Stop by Not Your Average Joe's lounge on tonight from 5:30-7p.m. for their Wolaver’s Organic Pumpkin Ale tasting.

2. Need something to do with the kids today? Bring your preschooler to view Shore Country Day School's construction site for the Lawrence A. Griffin Center for Creativity. Hear read-aloud construction stories and take home a hard hat of your own. Meet in the Shore Library at 11:30 a.m.

3. Trick or treating is coming up soon, but there several events before Oct. 31 for kids in Beverly. Check out the schedule and let us know if we missed any events.
