The Coast Guard rescued dozens of people from a fishing boat in Gloucester after it caught on fire Wednesday morning.

GLOUCESTER, MA — 44 people are safe thanks to the Coast Guard after a fishing boat caught fire in Gloucester Harbor Wednesday morning.
The Gloucester Harbormaster said there was an engine fire aboard Yankee Patriot II, which is owned by Yankee Fleet Deep Sea Fishing in Gloucester.
Reports of three fast-moving helicopters circled overhead after the safety call was radioed in.
