Jerry Parisella of Beverly and his daughter Sophia, 8, were chosen to take the salute at a performance by the Royal Canadian Mounties Musical Ride at this year's Topsfield Fair. Parisella was selected for his service to our country as both a long-time member of the Army Reserves and as an elected official.  Those hand-picked to take the salute at a Royal Canadian Mounties event are given the honor of starting the performance.
