5 Things To Know Today, Feb. 11: Dig Out Your Fire Hydrant
Sledding spots, roof reminder, and more Beverly tidbits.

Here are five things to start your day in Beverly:
1. A word from Beverly Fire: "This past weekend’s storm left us with more snow than we have seen in the area in a long time. Now that the roads are clearing, many of your local fire departments will be out for the next week shoveling the hydrants that have been covered up by the plowed snow. Those firefighters will spend hours each day shoveling and still uncover only a fraction of the hydrants across the city. Please take the time to locate and uncover the fire hydrant near your home to insure firefighters have the water they need if a fire strikes in your neighborhood."
2. Going sledding? We asked our readers where the best spot to sled in Beverly is, and here's what they had to say.

3. Weather: Rain, mainly before 5 p.m. Patchy fog after 1pm. High near 43. South wind 9 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.
4. Roof Reminder: Light, fluffy snow on rooftops can act as a sponge for rain, which is in the forecast for Monday. The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency offers these tips.
