5 Things To Know Today, Feb. 28: Free Event at Waring School Tonight

Vegas Week on Idol, and more Beverly news tidbits.

Here are five things to start your day in Beverly:

1. It’s Las Vegas Week on American Idol tonight and tonight's the last night of finalists. Beverly's Angie Miller will be back on the scene next week. Cuts will be made at the end of tonight's show.

2. Speaking of Angie, we found out Talinday recently covered her original song, You Set Me Free. You can check out his performance, plus what Angie had to say about it, here. 

3. Don't forget, tonight Havard Professor of Cognition and Education, Howard Gardner, will be speaking at Waring School as their 40th Anniversary Speaker. This event starts at 7 p.m. in the Waring School Theater and is free and open to the public.

4. Live theater: The Endicott College Drama Club is performing a One Act Play Festival that will showcase fresh, original writing by Endicott's students, alumni, and faculty at Tia’s Theater this weekend. The festival will take place March 1st and 2nd at 7:30 p.m. General admission to the Festival is $10 and free for those with an Endicott ID. 

5. Weather: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 44. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
