5 Things to Start the Day: Sept. 27

Here are five things to start your day in Beverly:

1. Richard Hoffman, award-winning memorist, poet, Emerson College professor, will be at Endicott College today as the first guest at the Ibbetson Street Press/Endicott College Visiting Author Series. The free event starts at 4 p.m. in the Hale Library's Little Theatre. 

2. '9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL'! opened this week at the North Shore Music Theatre, and runs through Oct. 27. The musical comedy is based on the hit movie and features Dolly Parton's original hit title song, as well as a new Tony Award and Grammy-nominated score. Learn more about the show here. 

3. Have you checked out 17 Cox's first blog post about a missing 20 foot Santa Claus? If you're an artist, this could be an opportunity you're interested in.
