5 Weekend Arrests in Beverly

The following was provided by the Beverly Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police log: 

Friday, Sept. 21

  • Police were called to a loud house party on Lenox Street at 1:38 a.m. 
  • At 10:57 a.m. police arrested Zackary Pavia, 17, of 5 Cresent Ave., on warrant charges. 
  • Police were called to Essex Street at 11:28 a.m. on report of suspicious activity. The report stated a man would not feed his sick wife in bed. 
  • Items were reported stolen from a Hale Street basement at 2:58 p.m.
  • Police assisted the Beverly Harbormaster with a distressed boater whose boat had gone aground on the beach at Lynch Park at 4:11 p.m.
  • Police were dispatched to Brimbal Avenue at 4:11 p.m. on report of a suspicious man watching kids from the woods. Police did not locate the man in question. 
  • At 4:47 p.m. police say a man tried to hold up Dairy Queen. 
  • Threatening phone calls were reported on Manor Road at 8:58 p.m.
  • At 9:39 p.m. police arrested Michael Palleschi, 17, of 7 Judson St., and Nicholas Robinson, 17, of 405 Essex St., both on charges of minor in possession of liquor.
  • Police dispersed a large group at the Dane Street Beach playground at 10:57 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 22

  • A vehicle on Herrick Street was reported smashed with a bottle at 1:22 a.m.
  • At 1:24 a.m. police arrested Mitchell Potts, 29, homeless, on charges of destruction of property and breaking and entering at night for a felony. 
  • Police broke up a party on Rantoul Street at 4:44 a.m.
  • A neighbor dispute was reported at 10:31 on Ober Road. The dispute, according to police report, was over the ownership of a tree that one of the neighbors was cutting down. 
  • A man was found sleeping in the bushes on Cabot Street at 12:28 p.m. Police woke him and sent him on his way. 
  • Police were called to Lothrop Street on report of a puppy on a roof. Police located the owners and safely returned the dog. 

Sunday, Sept. 23

  • A large fight was reported in the road on Rantoul Street at 12:12 a.m. Police said they found a 20-year-old female outside the Sports Page Pub, who told police she had a fight with a male who left the scene before police arrived. The girl told police she 'couldn't remeber' the male's name, but had left her shoes, purse, and cell phone in his vehicle. Police transported the girl to her home in Salem, where the reports state she was greeted at the front door by her grandmother. 
  • Police were dispatched to Tudor Road on report of a person firing a BB gun in his backyard at 4:06 p.m. Police advised him to stop immediately. 
  • At 5:51 p.m. police arrested Eric Rucci, 41, of 46 Cabot St., on charges of assualt and battery with a dangerous weapon.
