6 Weekend Arrests in Beverly

The following information was submitted by the Beverly Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department:

Friday, Jan. 25

  • At 12:40 a.m. police were called to Matthies Street on report of people yelling in the street. Police arrested Ryan Trickett, of 81 Glendale Sr. in Everett on violation of the city's knife ordinance.
  • Police were called to a church on Ocean Street on report of a man possibly sleeping at 5:09 a.m. Police arrested Charles Brown, 46, of 54 River St., on charges of trespassing, breaking and entering for misdemeanor, and a warrant charge.
  • Tires were reported slashed on a vehicle on Manor Road at 6:54 a.m.
  • Police were called to Lenox Street at 12:04 p.m. on report of threatening phone calls. 
  • Police were called to Beverly Hopsital at 2:40 p.m. on report of a man yelling at doctors. The disturbance was settled prior to police's arrival.

Saturday, Jan. 26

  • Police quieted down a person who was yelling on Washington Street at 2:13 a.m.
  • At 5:55 a.m. police were dispatched to Stop & Shop on report of a vehicle that had crashed into the building. Police arrested Robert Hadden, 24, listed as homeless, on charges of reckless operating of a vehicle, and possession of drugs with intent to distribute.
  • Police discovered a piece of paper wrapped in tin foil, believed to be individual hits of LSD, at Stop and Shop at 9:39 a.m. 
  • A vehicle was reported stolen on Cabot Street at 1 p.m.
  • Police were called to Manor Road at 4:40 p.m. on report of kids lighting fires.
  • Police were called to Bow Street at 7:10 p.m. on report of a car alarm that had been 'sounding for more than 7 hours.' When police rang the doorbell of the residence there was no answer.
  • Police were called to Essex Street on report of loud noise at 9:45 p.m. Police said upon entering the apartment, it 'reeked' of marijuana, and found five teenage girls and one teenage male. They said nothing was going on, but a female had left the home 'crying inconsolably.' Police tried to locate the girl but she was no longer on the scene.
  •  Police were called to a domestic dispute on Front Street at 10:25 p.m. Police arrested Gary Farnham, 31, of 50 Lynnway in Lynn, on charges of assault and battery, disorderly conduct, two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and destruction of property.

Sunday, Jan. 27

  • A loud house party was reported to police at 1:33 a.m. on Northridge Road When police arrived the scene was quiet.
  • A past home break-in was reported on Cabot Street at 2:40 a.m.
  • At 2:41 a.m. police were called to Roundy Street on report of an intoxicated male house guest causing a disturbance. Police arrested William LaFontant, 43, of 8 Roundy St., on warrant charges.
  • Vandalism to a vehicle parked on Manor Road was reported at 8:35 a.m.
  • A pedestrian accident was reported at 9:25 a.m. at the Elliott and Beckford Street intersection.
  • A person was struck by a vehicle in an Elliott Street parking lot at 4:17 p.m. He/she was transported to the hospital via ambulance.
  • Police were called to Ashton Street at 7:20 p.m. on report of a dispute between a father and his daughter's boyfriend. The father asked the boyfriend to leave. 
  • At 10:12 p.m. police were called to Manor Road on report of a domestic dispute. Antony Constantelo, 17, of 11 Whitney Ave., was arrested on three warrant charges.
