Annual Beverly Holiday Parade Marches On This Afternoon

Beverly holiday parade kicks off at 1:30 p.m.

The 65th consecutive Beverly holiday parade, this year themed 'caroling through Beverly,' will kick off this afternoon at 1:30 p.m.

The parade begins at the Beverly Cummings Center, makes a loop up Elliott Street, down Cabot Street, on to Broadway and then Rantoul to end up back at the Cummings Center.

As part of the parade committee's tradition to designate local organizations to benefit from items collected at the parade, this year spectators are asked to bring a canned food item to be donated to Beverly Bootstraps Community Services.

This year's Grand Marshal Ray Novack will lead the parade from a convertible. Upon his suggestion, proceeds raised from the parade will help the band to purchase new uniforms for the close to 300 participating marching students.

Beverly Patch will be taking photos at the parade, and we'll want to see yours, too! Check back for our photo gallery.
