Anthony's Closes At Beverly's Cummings Center

The restaurant had spent the last 11 years at its Cummings Center location.

BEVERLY, MA — Anthony's Restaurant has closed after 11 years at Cummings Park.

The owners announced late last month that they would not reopen for the new year amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"It is with a heavy heart that I have to share this news with all of you," the restaurant posted on its Facebook page. "The time has come for us to move on after 11 years here at the Cummings Center and 35 years in Beverly.

"More details will come about my next venture," the post said. "Until then, stay safe and well.

"From the bottom of my heart, thank you."

The post received more than 150 comments with many expressing disappointment in the restaurant's closing, but also allowing that they had not been there in months with many businesses in the office park working remotely because of the pandemic.

Anthony's website described the restaurant as "as a family-owned business with over 30 years of culinary experience, we take pride in serving delicious, made-to-order breakfasts and lunches."

The restaurant also specialized in catering corporate and private events — which have also dwindled significantly or been eliminated during the health crisis.
