After suspending food donations at their facility due to COVID-19 precautions, Beverly Bootstraps is now able to accept food donations onsite again. And now, more than ever, they need help keeping their Food Pantry shelves stocked to help the ever-growing numbers of local people in need.
The effects of the Coronavirus will be felt for months to come, if not longer. So many of those now out of work are those who were already having a tough time making ends meet. Beverly Bootstraps has seen the number visiting their Food Pantry double in the months since the pandemic started.
In normal times, the Food Pantry depends heavily on individual and corporate donations to feed those in need. Now, after being unable to accept donations for 3 months onsite (except for the Drive Thru Food Drive), they are encouraging the community to visit their 35 Park Street facility to drop off food donations again during their operating hours of Mon and Thurs 10am-2pm, Tues 2-6pm and Wed 10am-6pm
