Beverly Boys' Lacrosse Wins Division 2 North Title

In spite of the controversial decision to hold two of their players out of competition for smoking cigars after graduation, Beverly High School's boys' lacrosse team defeated Marblehead 12-7 at Bertram Field in Salem Saturday afternoon to clinch the Division 2 North title.

Beverly was ranked 3rd in the North Division 2 tournament and finished the regular season at 11-8. Marblehead, the 5 seed, finished the regular season at 11-7.
