BEVERLY, MA —Beverly Hospitals is among a group of Massachusetts hospitals its owner says are in "urgent" need of supplies to treat coronavirus patients.

Beth Israel Lahey Health, which operates Beverly Hospital and Anna Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester, said in a letter to local businesses that both facilities are looking for donations of lab and diagnostic testing supplies, as well as unused face masks, gloves and other personal protection equipment.

"Every day, our providers are putting their health on the line to care for patients," Rebecca Imperiali, vice president of philanthropy for Beverly and Addison Gilbert hospitals, wrote. "We’re asking business leaders in our community to consider how they may be able to contribute."
