Beverly Crews Battle Attic Fire In Extreme Heat

Beverly fire crews spent a steamy Tuesday afternoon fighting an attic fire on Walnut Street.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly fire crews spent part of Tuesday afternoon battling an attic fire in the searing heat.

Beverly fire said the main body of the fire was quickly knocked down by the Engine 6 crew. Engine 1, Engine 3 and Truck 3 ventilated the building, stretched backup lines and overhauled.

Danvers Engine 3 was also called to the scene for assistance.
