Beverly Declares Snow Emergency Ahead Of Storm

The city has a list of municipal lots where you can park your car for the duration of the storm.

BEVERLY, MA -- The city declared a snow emergency that will go into effect at 6 pm Tuesday.The region is expected to get four to eight inches of snow beginning this afternoon. Forecasters are calling for a messy afternoon commute.

During snow emergencies, all on-street parking is banned and violators are subject to ticket and towing. The following municipal lots are available for parking during snow emergencies:

  • Franklin Place and Washington Street (between the two streets)
  • Pond Street (behind Casa Da Moda)
  • Pond Street (at American Legion/Spear Post)
  • Briscoe St/Hale St (across from Central Fire Station)
  • Congress Street and Summit Avenue (public lot)
  • Chapman Street and Federal Street (behind Family Dollar)
  • MBTA Parking Garage on Rantoul Street (reduced rate during parking ban)
