Beverly Fire Responds To 2 Early Morning House Blazes
Beverly fire said there were no injuries in the blazes on Andover Road and Sylvan Road.
BEVERLY, MA — Beverly fire said there were no injuries in a pair of house fires that damaged homes with flames and heavy smoke on Andover Road and Sylvan Road early Monday morning.
Crews arrived at the Andover Road fire about 1:45 a.m. and found heavy fire coming from a bedroom on the front right corner of the home. Beverly fire said they were able to quickly knock down the flames outside before going inside and extinguishing the remaining fire in the bedroom.
Crews then vented the roof to exhaust the smoke and put out hot spots. Beverly police and Danvers Engine 3 provided mutual aid with Topsfield, Salem and Wenham providing coverage.

Less than two hours later, crews responded to Sylvan Road where they found heavy smoke coming from the roof of a home.
Beverly fire said smoke alarms alerted the residents to the fire and they all made it out of the house safely, but crews were met with heavy fire in the walls and attic on the second floor. They opened a hydrant to pour water on the house and vented the rook to allow smoke and heat to escape the home.

The Engine 3 crew opened the walls and ceiling to fully extinguish the fire.
Salem Engine 1, Beverly police and Northeast Regional Ambulance were on scene to assist Beverly Engine 3.
