Fire Department Responds To Bisson Street Furnace Fire
Home owner treated for smoke inhalation.

Beverly Fire Department knocked down a fire caused by a possible furnace malfunction on Bisson Street Saturday morning. Â
According to Beverly Deputy Fire Chief Peter O'Connor, the department responded to the scene a little after 9 a.m. on Saturday morning. Truck 2 was dispatched for a report of smoke in the house and a possible furnace problem at 38 Bisson St. Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from the eves of the house and requested a full box alarm including Car 2 and crews from E-3 and E-5 to respond to the scene.Â
The heavy smoke condition inside the home drove the home owner out onto a second floor balcony. While there, a ladder was positioned by Deputy Chief Michael Acciavatti and Firefighter Michael Zarbano who assisted the resident down to the ground. The resident was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.Â
