Beverly Kindergarten Registration Begins This Week

Beverly Public Schools will be conducting kindergarten registration for the 2013-2014 school year, beginning this week.

Registration packets are available at each elementary school and on the school department's website.

Registration will be held at the Memorial Building, 502 Cabot Street on:

• Tuesday, Jan. 22, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.,
• Wednesday, Jan. 23, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
• Thursday, Jan. 24, 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m.

Placement in the full day kindergarten program is made on a first come first serve basis. To be eligible for full day kindergarten, completed registration materials must be submitted during the scheduled registration time and a one month deposit of $400.00.

If you are applying for a scholarship, completed scholarship applications must be returned to the Business Office by Friday, February 15, 2013. 

Children must be 5 years of age on or before August 31, 2013. Only completed registration packets will be accepted. The following documents are required to register: 

• a certified original birth certificate with seal (we will make a copy)
• proof of residency in Beverly (for example, a recent telephone, gas or electric bill)
• the completed Parent Questionnaire
• the completed Student Data Form (Spanish version is available)
• the completed Home Language Survey
• the completed Kindergarten Program Preference Form
