Beverly Little Leaguers Fall in Final Four Opener

The team is set to take the field once again Friday at 4 p.m.

WESTWOOD, MA— The Beverly Little League all-stars fell in the first game of its first-ever appearance in the Massachusetts Final Four tournament.

According to a report by the Salem News, Beverly fell to Pittsfield American by a score of 12-10. The team jumped out to a seven-run lead in the first inning, but Pittsfield battled back to take the victory.

Pittsfield took an 8-7 lead in the third inning, but Beverly was able to battle back and reclaim a 9-8 lead. However, Pittsfield added three more runs to its total which ended up being the deciding factor in the contest.

Beverly will take the field once again Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. against Fairhaven-Acushnet at Morrison Field in Westwood.
