Beverly Man Among Those Training For Tornado Emergencies

A group of dedicated emergency officials are working together on a regular basis to prepare for tornado-related emergencies and among those training is Mark Foster, Beverly emergency managemet director. 

According to an article on WHDH, this Massachusetts task force learns how to deal with these emergencies by cutting through steel in a pile of rubble, fitting into tight spaces in mock rescues and cutting through concrete to find victims.

Foster is the team leader for Massachusetts Task Force 1, which is headquartered in Beverly.

This past week, as the tornado caused destruction in Oklahoma, they were training in Beverly. 

If necessary, this crew can be called to help with victims in the Oklahoma City disaster.
