Beverly Man Arrested Monday Causes Courtroom Disturbance

Reportedly kicked the door to a holding area in the courtroom and shouted profanity at court officers.

A Beverly man caused a disturbance at Salem District Court, following Judge Matthew Machera's decision to hold him without bail until at least next week, the Salem News reported.

Timothy Shepard, 32, of 6 Morgan Rd., was arrested on assault and battery and warrant charges Monday evening, following a dispute between himself and his girlfriend's teenage son.

Shepard became agitated when he was not allowed to speak and reportedly kicked the door to a holding area in the courtroom and shouted profanity at court officers, the outlet reported.
