Beverly Man Charged with Sending Threating Letters to Okcupid
A local man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly sending letters to the highly popular online dating site Okcupid.com.

A local Beverly man was arrested early Thursday morning for what investigators are saying is he sent letters in a threatening nature to the highly popular online dating web site OkCupid.com.
Liam MacLeod, 47, was arrested on Thursday and was scheduled to appear in federal court in Boston, according to the U.S. Attorney's office in Boston. MacLeod is charged with mailing threatening communications and conveying false information and hoaxes.
The complaint also stated that the letters contained information where he stated his father was a member of the "Hells Angels" and that he knew where employees from the company parked and who knew what could happen to them.
Another letter that was sent was to be believed to include blood drippings on it but that information hasn't been confirmed.

The charge of false information and hoaxes provides for a prison sentence of up to five years and a fine of up to $250,000. The charge of mailing threatening letters carries a sentence of up to 10 years and a fine of up to $250,000.
