Beverly Police To Hold Toy Drive In Honor Of Late Officer
The Sean R. Connolly Memorial Toy Drive will be Dec. 12 at North Beverly Plaza.
BEVERLY, MA — The Beverly Police Department will honor a late member of the department with a toy drive to benefit North Shore children in need this holiday season.
Beverly police will hold the Sean R. Connolly Memorial Toy Drive on Dec. 12 at the North Beverly Plaza from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Toys donated will go toward underprivileged children on the North Shore. Those donating are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy.

"This year has been difficult on many families and the BPD would like to assist them," Beverly police said. "Officers will be collecting donated items in a safe, clean and socially distant manner."
Connolly, of Rowley, died unexpectedly on Oct. 29. He was 53 years old.

Connolly worked for the police departments in Hamilton and Beverly. According to his memorial page, Connolly "loved his job as a police officer and loved his work family."
He was forced to retire following a traumatic brain injury while on the job.
"Sean loved being with his family who adored him and spent most of his retirement making beautiful memories with them," the memorial said. "He was the kindest, most generous person, and nothing made him happier than being able to help others."
