Car Strikes House on Beckford Street

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log: 

Tuesday, June 17:

  • At 4:08 p.m., police responded to a trespassing complaint on Hale Street. Cynthia J. Trefry, 56, of 582 Hale St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of trespassing.
  • At 7:01 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the Cummings Center.
  • At 7:29 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity near the intersection of Brimbal Avenue and Broughton Drive.
  • At 8:25 p.m., a Brown Street resident called police to report Facebook bullying.
  • At 8:26 p.m., police responded to a report of a car striking a house on Beckford Street. 
  • At 11:13 p.m., police responded to a report of kids breaking bottles on Ocean Street.

Wednesday, June 18: 

  • At 4:54 a.m., police responded to a past assault near the intersection of Rantoul and Wallis streets.
  • At 6:15 a.m., a Brown Street resident called police to report that his dog "Rufus" was missing.
  • At 10:35 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Cabot Street.
  • At 2:25 p.m., police responded to a past larceny on Cabot Street.
