Beverly MetroPCS Manager Reports $4K Stolen by Employee

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log:

Thursday, June 5: 

  • At 4:02 p.m., police responded to a report of a missing iPad on Cabot Street.
  • At 5:01 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Odell Avenue.
  • At 5:55 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Cabot Street.
  • At 5:59 p.m., a resident turned over drugs for destruction.
  • At 7:18 p.m., a store manager at the MetroPCS on Cabot Street called police to report that an employee stole $4,151.92 from the store.
  • At 8:07 p.m., police responded to a past larceny on Cabot Street.
  • At 8:14 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Cabot Street.
  • At 8:46 p.m., police made an arrest on Cabot Street. Bailey V. Sheppard, 20, of 120 County Road, Ipswich, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 10:32 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Mill Street.

Friday, June 6:

  • At 12:04 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Broadway.
  • At 12:22 a.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Pickman Road.
  • At 1:16 a.m., police responded to a report of an erratic operator near the intersection of Rantoul and Wallis streets.
  • At 1:45 a.m., police responded to a past assault on Cabot Street.
  • At 2:22 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Rantoul Street.
  • At 3:11 a.m., police conducted a building check on McKay Street.
  • At 4:09 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Essex Street. A motorist reportedly struck a telephone pole and left the scene.
  • At 5:03 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Cabot Street.
  • At 6:28 a.m., a Thoreau Circle resident called police to report that four tires were stolen off of his car while it was parked in their driveway.
  • At 8:30 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency near the intersection of Park and Federal streets.
  • At 8:45 a.m., police responded to an alarm on McKay Street.
  • At 11:00 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle near the intersection of School and River streets. April M. Dow, 31, of 30 Veterans Memorial Drive, Peabody, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.
  • At 12:51 p.m., police responded to a report of a fight in the street near the intersection of Rantoul and Edwards streets.
  • At 3:57 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Brimbal Avenue.
  • At 4:36 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Rantoul Street.
Other Arrests

Steven F. Pieroni, 47, of 202 Elliott St., Danvers, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery.

Freddy Velasquez, 31, of 20 Central St., Peabody, was arrested on charges of assault and battery and illegally possessing a class B substance.
