Beverly Homeowners Report More Eggings Overnight

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log: 

Thursday, April 24: 

  • At 4:16 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Cabot Street.
  • At 4:42 p.m., police responded to a reported vandalism on Goodyear Street.
  • At 5:18 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Elliot Street.
  • At 5:33 p.m., police responded to a report of items found behind a fence on Enon Street.
  • At 5:39 p.m., police responded to a report of "alleged touching" on Rantoul Street.
  • At 5:45 p.m., a Bartlett Street resident called police to report that they noticed their house had been egged.
  • At 6:39 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Northridge Road.
  • At 6:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a panhandler trying to get into a car on Elliott Street. Officers were unable to locate anyone suspicious in the area.
  • At 6:59 p.m., police passed along information regarding a recently stolen scooter.
  • At 7:17 p.m., Beverly police officers assisted the DEA with an investigation on Cabot Street.
  • At 9:55 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Rantoul Street.
  • At 11:40 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Elliott Street. 

Friday, April 25: 

  • At 12:52 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious person on Rantoul Street.
  • At 4:04 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious man in a building on Herrick Street. Joseph M. George, 48, of the streets of Beverly, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
  • At 10:03 a.m., police conducted a property check on Woodland Avenue.
  • At 10:32 a.m., police checked for homeless encampments on Woodland Avenue.
  • At 11:19 a.m., police responded to a report of a man talking strangely around kids near the intersection of Lothrop and Dane streets.
  • At 11:40 a.m., a Pratt Avenue resident called police to report that their house had been egged.
  • At 12:20 p.m., police responded to a road rage incident near the intersection of Rantoul and Bow streets. 
  • At 12:48 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Essex and Corning streets.
  • At 2:22 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a police cruiser on Cabot Street.
  • At 2:35 p.m., a resident called police to report finding a scooter on Cabot Street.
Arrests

George P. Davekos, 62, of 21 Atlantic Ave., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.

Kelsey L. Spilman, 19, of 6 Home St., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.

Rashard J. Willis, 33, of 107 Rockaway St., Lynn, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license and disguising himself to obstruct justice.
