Beverly Police Free Baby Deer Stuck in Fence

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log: 

Monday, June 16:

  • At 4:05 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Evergreen Drive.
  • At 5:02 p.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Beverly Commons Drive.
  • At 5:07 p.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Rezza Road.
  • At 6:53 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident with property damage near the intersection of Tozer Road and Commons Drive.
  • At 7:31 p.m., police responded to a report of wooden fencing stolen from a work site on Brackenbury Lane.
  • At 7:57 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Park Street.
  • At 10:36 p.m., police responded to a fire alarm near the intersection of Cabot Street and Columbus Avenue.
  • At 10:42 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Rantoul Street. Tony V. Le, 21, of 160 Park St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of drinking in public. Justin P. Lehman, 22, of 7 Martin St., Essex, was arrested on a charge of drinking in public. Nathan B. Richardson, 23, of 104 Elliott St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of drinking in public.

Tuesday, June 17:

  • At 6:50 a.m., police responded to a past break-in on Essex Street.
  • At 7:17 a.m., police responded to coyote complaint on Hayes Avenue.
  • At 7:23 a.m., police responded to a report of a baby deer stuck in a fence on Western Avenue. Officers managed to free the animal and stood by while the Wildlife Rehabilitator arrived on scene.
  • At 8:40 a.m., police conducted  well-being check on Sohier Road. 'Bambi' will be OK, the report read.
  • At 12:06 p.m., police responded to a report of four men pulling down a fence on Odell Avenue.
  • At 1:03 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Prides Park.
  • At 2:32 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Herrick Street.
  • At 4:08 p.m., police made an arrest on Hale Street.
  • At 8:26 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle striking a house on Beckford Street.
  • At 9:10 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Rantoul Street.
Other Arrest

Cynthia J. Trefry, 57, of 582 Hale St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of trespassing.
