Beverly Man Charged With Assault on Police Officer

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log: 


Monday, May 19:

  • At 8:13 p.m., police made an arrest near the intersection Federal and Rantoul streets. James E. Hogan, 44, of 42 Clement Ave., Peabody, was arrested on a charge of conspiracy to violate a drug law. Robert A. McGonnell, 53, of 276 Rantoul St., Beverly, was arrested on charges of conspiracy to violate a drug law and illegally possessing a class B substance, subsequent offense.
  • At 10:30 p.m., police made an arrest on Rantoul Street. Julia Bliss, 52, of 276 Rantoul St., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.

Tuesday, May 20: 

  • At 12:02 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Sunnyvale Street.
  • At 2:36 a.m., police responded to an alarm near the intersection of Bartlett and Stone streets.
  • At 5:58 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on McKay Street.
  • At 10:29 a.m., police responded to a report of a people fighting in a parking lot on Brimbal Avenue.
  • At 1:38 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Kelleher Road.
  • At 1:50 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Cabot Street.
  • At 1:58 p.m., police responded to a past attempted break-in on Giles Avenue.
  • At 2:03 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Fosters Point. Stephen J. MacDougall, 44, of 16 Fosters Point, Beverly, was arrested on charges of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.
  • At 4:54 p.m., police responded to a reported sexual assault on Brimbal Avenue.
  • At 5:00 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity near the intersection of Dartmouth and Nursery streets.
  • At 5:56 p.m., police responded to a report of a man sitting on the railroad tracks on Park Street.

Wednesday, May 21: 

  • At 1:32 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Essex and Cedar streets.
  • At 5:24 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Conlon Street.
Arrests

Harrison F. Carr, 23, of 18 Cherry St., Wenham, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.

Marshall R. Glover Jr., 24, of 320 Lafayette St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.

Adam M. Wagner, 29, of 6 Sanborn St., Peabody, was arrested on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
