Beverly's Angela Miller Lands Ticket to Hollywood on American Idol

Angela "Angie" Miller graduated from Beverly High in 2012.

18-year-old Angela "Angie" Miller landed herself a ticket to Hollywood to pursue her singing dream on American Idol, Fox 25 reported.

Miller, a 2012 graduate of Beverly High, was a member of the choir and school musicals. Miller's former choir director told Fox 25 she "always stood out."

The American Idol judges clearly agreed. Miller was unanimously voted to Hollywood by the show's four judges.

On last night's episode, before singing her rendition of Jessie J's 'Mamma Knows Best', Miller told the judges about her hearing impairments.

"I've had hearing problems my whole life," she said. "I have 40 percent hearing loss in my left ear, and 20 in my right."
