Beverly School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Beverly is August 29 for grades 1-9 and August 30 for all other grades. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Beverly Public School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/29: Grades 1-9 Return, Half Day and Full Day Kindergarten Orientation
• 8/30: All Students Return

September

• 9/1 - 9/4: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/26: No School for Students (Staff Development)

October

• 10/6: Elementary and Middle School Early Release
• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)

November

• 11/7: No School for Students (Staff Development)
• 11/9: BHS Late Start (Parent's Morning Back)
• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/22: Early Release
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/7: Elementary and Middle School Early Release
• 12/8: No School for Students (Staff Development)
• 12/22 - 1/1: No School (December Vacation)

January

• 1/1: No School (December Vacation)
• 1/2: Classes Resume
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Day)

February

• 2/19: No School (Presidents’ Day)
• 2/20 - 2/23: No School (February Vacation)

March

• 3/1: Elementary and Middle School Early Release
• 3/30: No School (Good Friday)

April

• 4/5: Elementary Early Release
• 4/16: No School (Patriots’ Day)
• 4/17 - 4/20: No School (April Vacation)
• 5/25: BHS Early Release (Parent's Afternoon Back)

May

• 5/25: Elementary and Middle School Early Release
• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/3: Beverly High School Graduation (2:00 p.m.)
• 6/15: Last Day of School (if no snow days), Early Release
• 6/22: Last Day of School (including 5 snow days), Early Release
