Beverly Woman Identified As Gloucester Drowning Victim

The Essex County District Attorney's Office said foul play in not suspected in the death of the 41-year-old Beverly woman.

BEVERLY, MA — A 41-year-old woman from Beverly was identified as the person who drowned in Gloucester on Sunday.

The Essex County District Attorney's Office said foul play is not suspected in the death of Cassandra Baker.

The district attorney's office said Gloucester police and fire responded to a call shortly before 1 p.m. on Sunday and found Baker floating face down in Rafes Chasm off Hesperaus Avenue. Police said the victim was unresponsive when she was pulled out of the water.

She was pronounced dead at Addison Gilbert Hospital.
