Beverly's Most Popular Dog Names
Sorry Rover, sorry Spot: Your names didn't come close to cracking the top 10.
BEVERLY, MA — If you live in Beverly and have a dog named Bella or Daisy, you're not alone. Those were the two most popular dog names in town, according to the Beverly City Clerk's office. The data is based on dog registrations in the city.
The chart below shows the top 10 names as Beverly, as well as the top 10 names nationally for both genders, based on a 2017 survey by Rover.com. We're pretty sure where the inspiration for 37 four-legged Brady's running around Beverly came from, but we're wondering why Charlie (42 dogs with that name) and Sophie (34 dogs) were so popular in Beverly.

The majority of dogs in Beverly are one-of-a-kind, at least when it comes to their names. Of the 1,941 dogs registered with the city, 1,302 had a unique name. Some of the dogs who don't share a name with any other dog in town had human-sounding names, like Gisele and Laverne. Others were more unusual, including Marty McFly, Jetpack and Kirby Rose. There is one Jack Daniels and one Harley Davidson and one dog inexplicably named Jeter.
