Coronavirus Cancels 2020 Season At North Shore Music Theatre
The Beverly performance space had hoped to start the season this fall, but has now pushed it back to 2021.
BEVERLY, MA — The North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, which had hoped to start its 2020 season this fall, has postponed it until next year.
"After carefully examining the upcoming challenges resulting from the worldwide COVID-19 outbreak, for the health and safety of our North Shore Music Theatre patrons, staff, casts, and creative teams, we have made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to completely reschedule the upcoming season," owner Bill Hanney said in a statement. "Though we worked hard to try to make a fall reopening and winter season a reality, it has become increasingly clear that there should not be any performances at North Shore Music Theatre until 2021."
The rescheduled season will now open May 4, 2021. The Theatre released a schedule of performances for next year:
