Irish Well Wishes Sent to Mayor Scanlon for St. Paddy's Day

Mayor Scanlon presented a special card he received for St. Patrick's Day at Monday evening's City Council meeting. 

The card was addressed to "Mayor Scanlon, Beverly MA, USA" he said, from a  man in Ireland named George Riley.

Riley wrote to Scanlon in regard to Fred Butler's recent graduation from Beverly High School, at 106-years-old, the national story he read in the Dublin Times. 

"I was highly impressed with the story," Riley wrote to Scanlon. "I would be delighted if your office would pass on my paddy's day best and on that day I will drink to your very good health."
