Extreme Heat: Beverly Opens Library Cooling Stations On Wednesday
On the third day of the extreme heatwave, Beverly residents can go to the main library location or Beverly Farms location to cool off.
BEVERLY, MA — As this week's heatwave stretches into the third day, Beverly residents can cool off at the library.
The main library location will be open until 9 p.m. Wednesday and the Beverly Farms location will be open until 6 for those in need of air conditioning.

There is some good news, however, for the city once we get through what could be some pretty strong thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and early evening.

Starting Thursday, temperatures should be much cooler with highs in the 60s and 70s through the first half of the holiday weekend.
The trade-off? It's going to rain — at least for Thursday and Friday, with hopes of improvement for the holiday weekend itself.
