Farm Fresh in Beverly Returns!

FRANK in Beverly has opened in this Post Pandemic world and everyone is talking about it.

A new type of restaurant opened up in downtown Beverly right before the pandemic hit and it brings a classy and different approach to a night out. FRANK which opened up at 112 Rantoul St offers a farm to table meal with some of the freshest food you can find in the area. FRANK is owned by Frank McClelland who started his career in the area when he took over Boston’s legendary L’Espalier in 1988. However Frank mCClelland sent shockwaves through Boston when he decided he was going to close up shop in Boston and move to the bustling North Shore.

Now ever since the pandemic hit restaurants have been trying hard to find ways to reinvent themselves and attract folks to return. FRANK has done that right out of the gate with opening a beautiful outdoor patio two days after Governor Charlie Baker announced that restaurants could start outside seating again. FRANK which is located at Holmes luxury apartment building in Beverly utilizes a nice outdoor courtyard with a nice large and lit with a beautiful globe like rope light. There is also plenty of space so that you can feel safe as with the use of the high ceiling and wide area your able to be 6 feet apart from the other guest.

Now upon returning FRANK unlike other restaurants also features a myriad of options that I can only describe as filling and tasty. Some of the offerings that can be found here include house made Focaccia with herb butter which comes out warm from the oven and the herb butter just melts in your mouth. Then your next round can come from cheese and charcuterie board which allows you to try things like Grafton Cheddar, Cow and Watermelon. The watermelon was pickled and had a very subtle vinegar taste. For salads they offer many different options like the Herb salad which comes with radish, dried cherries, wheat berries and goat cheese and is topped with a buttermilk dressing. The salad can be described as tasting like “it just came out of the garden.” For dinner they have options like fresh chicken to fish. One item that stood out was the RhubarBBQ roasted chicken which is smothered in a delicious sauce and caramelized vegetables such as carrots, onions and asparagus which were very fresh. The chicken was fully cooked, perfectly moist not to mention falling off the bone tender. Now after all that (that is if you are still hungry that is) you are welcome to try desserts which can feature things like a Black Forest ice cream sandwich or the Strawberry hazelnut Jelly Roll featuring black pepper and lovage.

If you're looking for a full dinner experience that features some of the freshest food and pleasing wine around then FRANK should be your place to go to. It is sure to help you cure your post-pandemic lockdown blues. Now that Massachusetts has entered phase 3 indoor seating has now returned. Although the indoor portion of FRANK is inviting and warm and sure to be welcoming and comforting it is certainly worth noting that FRANK still offers a great patio experience with the same level of attention and care that you would expect from a traditional sit down (indoor restaurant.) My honest thought is that we can expect FRANK to be the place to be this summer.

FRANK is open at 112 Rantoul St in Beverly inside the MBTA Parking Garage and open Monday-Sunday 8:30am-8:00pm. For more information please visit www.FarmtoFrank.com.
