The North Shore Music Theatre opens it new hit Saturday Night Fever!

Last night at Bill Hanney’s North Shore Music Theatre the crowd was brought to their feet in celebration of the 70’s. Bill Hanney’s production of the hit movie Saturday Night Fever was nothing but smashing and falling off the dance floor entertaining. From the first opening number to the closing dramatic ending it will keep you entertained throughout. The show features an amazing cast some of which include Tessa Grady who portrays Stephanie Mangano in the show and Sam Wolf who plays Tony Manero. There chemistry on stage is phenomenal and their dance moves would even have some of those from Dancing with the Stars jealous.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the story of Saturday Night Fever it is a story about a talented yet otherwise streetwise kid who grew up in Brooklyn. Who attempts to escape his dead-end life by using the power of dance. The show has an amazing soundtrack in which the cast at NSMT really pours their heart into. Some of the songs that will be heard during this performance include “Stayin Alive”, Boogie Shoes and Disco Inferno.

All in all Bill Hanney and director Richard Stafford have really outdone themselves again with another amazing performance for the north shore crowd. From the sets in this show which really bring you back to New York City in the 70’s. Which include a mock Brooklyn Bridge to recreating the night club of the 2001 Odyssey. It really brings you into the show to feel like you’re a part of the action and a part of the story. One advantage that I think this show really uses is the theatre in the round and a show like this really benefits because of the design of the sets. From being in the club to having a feeling you were invited to the dance contest, to being there in his bedroom when he finds out his brother quits the priesthood. This show will definitely be a must see for everyone on the north shore and greater Boston who love rich entertaining theatre.

Saturday Night Fever rungs August 11th, 2015-August 23rd, 2015 and tickets for this amazing show are priced from $54-$79 so it’s worth a night out in Beverly. To purchase tickets or to find out more information on this show or cast please visit www.NSMT.org or call 978-232-7200.
