Here's a thought!
Legendary Comedian Lenny Clarke brought his hilarious comedy style to the Historic city of Beverly MA to a rocking sold out crowd.

Tonight was nothing but a night that will stand alone for the ages first Tumblin’ Jack Walsh took to the stage and was able to warm up the crowd like I had never seen before! From regaling us with stories of how his wife runs a tight ship with little (and understandable) wiggle room to when the wiggle room in his pants was no more and it was time to go to weight watchers and shed those pounds. Jack has worked with many popular comics many who got their start right here in the Boston area such as Don Gavin, Paul D’Angelo, Steve Sweeney, Ken Rogerson,Tony Vee, Nick DePaulo, Johnny Pizzi, Jimmy Dunn, Patty Ross, Jimmy Tingle to name a few Be sure to check out one of Jack’s upcoming shows such as the one at Headliner’s Comedy Club @Chunky’s Pub in Nashua, NH of February 19th and 20th where Jack will be preforming with the likes of Lenny Clarke and Rob Steen!
Once the second comedian Christine Hurley (who became a finalist on Nick and Nite’s televised series “America’s Funniest Mom) hit the stage all bets were off! I don’t think I have EVER laughed so hard and for such long periods of time. She is quickly becoming a Boston comedy favorite and a legend in her own right. It is wonderful to see someone from my hometown of Plymouth, MA doing such wonderful and amazing things! Her comedic style is understandable and relate able which is a breath of fresh air! She went from telling us what it is like to be a real mom with “real world” problems like calling the wrong school in regards to the wrong child because she may or may not have had too much to drink that morning (You have to get through the day somehow right?) to telling us what it is like to be in a “realistic” marriage and have “realistic” expectations such as the fact that your husband is not and will never be Brad Pit. When she was discussing the topic of her marriage and she began to bring up her relationship with her Husband Jimmy there was not a dry eye in that theater. Everyone and I mean everyone was laughing so hard they had tears streaming down their faces! She is a force to be reckoned with (especially on the little league baseball field, just ask Mr. Nolan and he will tell you all about it!) Christine can be seen live at her next performance at the AllPro show in Leominster, MA at 7:30 PM on February 5th
Then the legendary Lenny Clarke who has appeared all over the Late Night television circuit as well as in being in Hollywood blockbuster films such as There is Something About Mary (1998) Me Myself and Irene (2000), Stuck On You (2003) Lemony Snicket’s “A Series of Unfortunate Events” (2004), “Fever Pitch” (2005) “Here Comes the Boom” (20012) and so many more! took the stage and the laughs did not stop coming. Even though Lenny has experienced much success and rubbed elbows with those of fame and fortune (much like himself) he has always managed to keep his comedy stylings new and fresh and oh so down home. He has NEVER forgotten his roots and just where he come from. From talking about last years’ (2015) nine+ feet of snow and how even though it sucked to be from New England we knew how to manage and cope either because we are “calm and rational people” or we are just “tough sons and bitches” to discussing the current state of affairs of this great nation and how improvements could so easily be made if oh here’s a thought: those who need to could just “Open their eyes and get their heads out of their asses” and everything in between! Also if you are ever feeling low or down in dumps and need a quick pick me up you could always do what Lenny does and grab a quick drink and a smoke and head down to the local cemetery and simply walk around. You’ll be feeling better and more fortunate” in no time but don’t take my word for it! Tonight was nothing close to a disappointment and simply another home run for a great local theatre who knows how to book a show to really pack the house (ESPECIALLY on the Larcom Theater’s 2016 seasons opening night!)
