How Much Snow is Forecasted for Beverly?

Thought you were done with snow for the season? Not so fast...

In a winter storm watch issued Sunday afternoon, the National Weather Service says a coastal storm will be moving across the region Monday night, and Beverly is forecasted to see between three to six inches, alongside sleet and ice.

"The timing of the transition from snow to sleet to freezing rain and all rain remains uncertain at this time along with precise snowfall totals," their winter storm watch says. "What is certin is that a large area of Southern New England, outside of southern Rhode Island and southeast Mass. may receive six or more inches of snow along with a period of ice. This will result in treacherous travel conditions later Monday night into at least Tuesday morning."

With the heaviest precipitation forecasted late Monday night into Tuesday morning, the watch says the impact on Tuesday morning's commute is "likely significant."

Snow is forecasted to taper off to all rain by Tuesday afternoon.
