Kids With Snowballs, One-Stop Shoplifter Reported to Police Over Weekend

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department:
Friday, Feb. 15
- An erratic driver was reported on Rantoul Street at 1:20 a.m.
- At 1:50 a.m. police were called to Whitney Avenue on report of loud neighbors. Police were called back to the house at 7:24 a.m. and the woman in question admitted she was being loud in retaliation for the previous call.
- Police were called to Dodge Street at 1:22 p.m. on report of a saw being stolen and the gas power being shut off at the site.
- Direct TV solicitors were reported in the area of Nelson Avenue at 8:48 p.m.Â
- Police were called to One Stop on Cabot Street at 9:34 p.m on report of a person fleeing the store with a bottle.
- Police were called to Broadway at 10:36 p.m. on report of someone knocking on a back window to a residence.
Saturday, Feb. 16

- Police were called to Rantoul Street at 12:41 a.m. on report of a possible fight on the sidewalk. Police patroled the street but nothing suspicious was found.
- A loud party was reported on Bartlett Street at 1:57 a.m. The tenants were advised of the city's noise ordinance.
- Police received report of a suspicious phone call on Pinehurst Avenue at 11:30 a.m. The caller told police there were no direct threats in the call he received at 1:40 a.m. on his house phone, but a lot of yelling.
- A vehicle was reported vandalized on Herrick Street at 2:49 p.m.
- Police were called to Dodge Street on report of a person driving on four allegedly flat tires at 6:06 p.m. Police arrived but the driver had already left.
- Kids were reported throwing rocks at a house on Kernwood Avenue at 8:51 p.m. Police spoke to the kids, who were actually throwing snowballs.
- Police were called to Chase Street on report of an unwanted guest at 11:31 p.m. When police arrived the person left without problem.
Sunday, Feb. 17
- Police were called to Cabot Street at 11:39 a.m. on report of a man who fell in the street. An ambulance transported him to the hospital.Â
- Police were called to a neighbor argument on Elliott Street at 3:29 p.m. over a parking space. Police were able to restore peace between the people involved.
- At 5:11 p.m. police were called to Elliott Street on report of a traffic light 'sparking' in front of Stop & Shop. Reports stated the city electrician had just fixed the light, and was notified of the situation.Â
