Local Man Arrested for OUI

Wednesday, Oct. 25
- A person reported being bit by a dog on Middlebury Lane at 3:32 p.m.
- Police were notified of harrassing text messages at 5:05 p.m.

- At 1:32 a.m. police were called to Herrick Street on report of an intoxicated person causing a disturbance. Police arrested Joseph Harvey, 23, of 21 Beacon St. in Methuen, on charges of aggregated assault and battery, threatening to commit a crime, and intimidation of a witness.Â
- Police were called to Gove Avenue at 6:54 a.m. on report of a domestic dispute.Â
- Police were called to Middlebury Ln. at 8:52 a.m. on report of a suspicious man wandering around. The man told police he lived in the area and was just waiting for a ride to work. Â
- Police were called to Cabot Street on report of a suspicious black SUV with possible drug activity taking place, at 10:24 a.m. Police did not locate the vehicle.Â
- At 12:16 p.m. police were called to Essex Street on report of a blue SUV in the middle of the street. Police arrested Douglas Heffer, 57, of 12 Old Town Rd., on charges of operating under the influence of liquor, and violation of a city ordinance.Â
- A man was reported going to door-to-door panhandling on Jewett Street at 6:12 p.m. When police arrived he was not located.Â
- Police were called to Herrick Street at 6:42 p.m. on report of a verbal domestic dispute in the parking lot. Police arrested Wesley Charette, 19, of 640 Essex St., on warrant charges.Â
Friday, Oct. 27
- At 9:10 a.m. police were called to Enon Street on report of a dispute between two business owners. The report states the fight was over one business owner allowing employees to smoke in front of the other storefront. The two parties came to an agreement. Â
- Two stolen bikes were recovered on Bennett Street at 9:26 a.m.
- An assault was reported on Cabot Street at 1:51 p.m. Police reports state a man was hit in the face.Â
- Vandalism by a former tenant was reported on Blaine Street at 2:09 p.m.
