Lost Dog Lucy Spotted, But Still Loose in Beverly

Missing dog been sighted in Ryal Side area.

As of Sunday night, a black and white dog named Lucy, who's been missing in Beverly since Feb. 28, still hasn't been successfully returned to her owners.

An announcement was first posted on Beverly Patch about Lucy's disappearance on Tuesday, March 5.

According to the Find Lucy Facebook page, the pup was lost in Beverly, but is from another part of Massachusetts. "Lucy and her family were visiting relatives in Beverly, MA. Lucy was approached by a more aggressive dog and ran in fear. She has been missing ever since," the page reads.

At about 8 p.m. on Sunday night, the Facebook page updated, saying "We have had some sightings today...not posting where in attempt to keep those last few tempted people from searching! The food station is all set up...think good thoughts for little miss Lucy to find the food tonight and fall for the trap tomorrow!"

  • Don't call her name or chase her
  • Approach quietly
  • No eye contact
  • Get low to the ground
  • Toss stinky food on the ground near you
  • Wait for her to come to you
