Man Arrested on Assault to Murder Charges Monday Morning

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department:
Friday, Jan. 11
- Police were called to Rantoul Street at 2:08 a.m. on report of two loud, intoxicated people. Both parties police determined were slightly intoxicated and talking loudly, disturbing their neighbors. They agreed to quiet down and go to bed. At 3:27 a.m. police were called back to the residence for the same issue. One male was placed in protective custody.Â
- A vehicle was reported vandalized at 9:33 a.m. on Manor Road.
- At 10:19 a.m. police were called to Broadway on report of smoke in the building. Beverly Fire discovered an individual was cutting the oil tank in the basement with improper equipment.
- Vandalism to a vehicle on Charnock Street was reported at 11:15 a.m.
- Police were called to Mulberry Street at 12:13 p.m. on report of hypodermic needles found on the ground.Â
- Police were called to Beverly Hospital at 10:50 p.m. on report of a vehicle that rolled down an embankment after the operator forgot to put the vehicle in park. The car was towed and the driver sustained small cuts on his hands.
- Police were called to the Sports Page Pub on report of loud music and noise at 11:24 p.m.

- Police were called to Rantoul Street for a disturbance at 1:10 a.m. Police said a woman claimed that her friend's ex boyfriend was calling for his ex girlfriend outside the apartment building. No one was found outside the apartment when police arrived.
- A vehicle break-in was reported on Hale Street at 9:19 a.m.
- The fradulent use of a credit card was reported at a Rantoul Street business at 10:44 a.m.
- Police were called to Dane Street Beach on report of a person in a tree with a possible rifle at 1:26 p.m. Police discovered the man, who they determined had a hand made wooden toy rifle. Police advised him to take it home and keep it from public view.
- A purse was reported stolen at the Sports Page Pub at 2:16 p.m.
- Police were called for a loud disturbance on Rantoul Street at 6:19 p.m. The group was watching the football game, and were advised to quiet down.
- A loud group was reported on Bennett Street at 11:16 p.m.
Sunday, Jan. 13
- A rock was thrown through a vehicle's window on Haskell Street at 1:59 a.m. Police reports stated the individual responsible for the act will be charged with vandalism.
- A car struck a bicycle at 2:21 p.m. at the Cabot/Rantoul Street intersection. Police reports stated the vehicle struck the front wheel of the bicycle while he was crossing in a crosswalk. Police said no injuries were reported.
- A possible break-in at the Beverly Golf and Tennis club house was reported at 6:37 p.m.
- An explosion heard in the area of Baker Avenue and Columbus Avenue was reported at 7:46 p.m.
- At 9:23 p.m. police were called to a disturbance inside a vehicle on Rantoul Street. They were gone when police arrived.
Monday, Jan. 14

- Police were called to Judson Street at 1:19 a.m. on report of a patron who would not leave the bar. An ambulance was called.
- At 2:41 a.m. police were called to Railroad Avenue for an argument. Police arrested Danilo Diroche, 23, of 341 Summer St. in Lynn, on charges of assault and battery and assault to murder.
