Mattress Fire, Stolen Plants: Beverly Police Log
Missing signs, intruding bat, and more from the Beverly Police log.

- David G. Nadeau, 28, of Beverly, was arrested on charges of assault on a household member, and intimidating a witness last Tuesday around 10:30 a.m. after police responded to Bridge Street.
- Police responded to a report of plants that had been dug up and stolen from a Chapman Street home last Wednesday around 10 a.m.
- Officers responded to a report of missing signs from Juniper Street last Wednesday around 6 p.m.
- Christopher M. Bryson, 35, of Beverly, was arrested on charges of trespassing and larceny over $250, and Meghan C. Tipton, 34, of Beverly, was arrested on charges of trespassing, larceny over $250, and violating a city ordinance regarding knives after police responded to a report of pickpocketing on Blaine Avenue last Thursday around 4 p.m.
- Police responded to a report of a woman screaming and glass breaking on Railroad Avenue on Thursday around midnight. Officers restored the peace.
- Officers asked a man to quiet down after responded to a report of loud talking on Manor Road last Friday around 12:30 a.m. The man wasn't aware he was making noise.
- Jack S. Connell, 57, of Reading, was arrested on charges of drunken driving, reckless driving, and a marked lanes violation after a report of a head on car crash on Saturday around 8 p.m. on Dunham Road.
- Police and firefighters responded to a report of a mattress on fire outside on Rantoul Street on Saturday around 8 p.m.
- Officers responded to a report of a bat in a Thorndike Street apartment on Sunday around 2 a.m. Police helped get the bat out of the apartment.
- Police took a report of a boyfriend punching a car on Folly Pond Road on Sunday around 4:30 p.m.
- Two loud bangs were reported in the area of Brimbal Avenue and Thompson Road on Monday around 5 p.m. Police found that a tree branch had hit a power line, causing the noises.
