More Than Meals...It's About People and Community

Daniel Dailey gives back to Beverly. Holiday fare and camaraderie abound this week.

SeniorCare is pleased to announce that Daniel Dailey, of Beverly is now a Home Delivered Meals Driver. Mr. Dailey is originally from Coral Gables, Florida. He spent 32 years in the restaurant business, and has been very active in the Beverly/Salem Elks, from which he has received many awards, and where he currently serves as Secretary. He enjoys making seniors happy, participating in social organizations, camping, and watching sports.

SeniorCare is a regional and disability services agency serving the communities of Beverly, Essex, Gloucester, Hamilton, Ipswich, Rockport, Topsfield and Wenham. The Meals on Wheels program serves frail and homebound seniors over age 60. Menus are designed by nutrition experts to meet the needs of older adults and are prepared by a professional caterer. Cardiac, chopped, and puréed meals are available, for those with special dietary requirements. Meals with a special cold pack containing skim milk and a reduced carbohydrate dessert are also available. Community Dining Sites are also very popular and there is a local site at Beverly Senior Center where people can come together and enjoy food and conversation. A very small donation is requested but no one is turned away if they cannot afford it. SeniorCare operates these programs and invites everyone to take advantage of them in their community.

The photo accompanying this announcement is of the wonderful Thanksgiving meals served in Beverly this week as part of SeniorCare’s ongoing community dining programs. To find a site near you, contact SeniorCare at 1-866-927-1050 or visit our Meal Site Directory online.
