No Appointment Needed For Beverly Public Library Locations

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly residents no longer need an appointment to go to the public libraries.

The libraries are opening up for browsing without having to pre-register a time.

Residents can also pick up holds and use computers without an appointment.

The main library and Beverly Farms locations are both open six days per week with the main location also open on Sunday.

Those coming to both libraries must follow these coronavirus-related protocols:

• Properly worn masks are required for all over the age of two, regardless of vaccination status, for your entire visit. Disposable masks may be offered.
• Visits are limited to one hour.
• You'll need to come inside and visit a service desk to pick up your holds.
• Due to a capacity limit of 25 people in the children’s room, be prepared for a possible wait.
• No food or drink is allowed in the building.
• One household, or one person, at a time on the elevator.
• There is no seating available (or allowed), except at computers.
• Use the Winter Street entrance (main library) or the Hale Street entrance (Farms branch).

Some resources — such as newspapers, library headphones and meeting/study rooms — remain unavailable.
